Field failure rates of 50% reported on the Excelsior model clock released to the market 2 months ago. Customers report the clock must be wound more than once per week. Customer's require and we guarantee greater than seven days continuous operation per full winding.

Objective: Achieve consistent 7.5 days of Time of Continuous Operation (Tco) on one winding of the clock for units already sold (in homes and showrooms) with low retrofit cost and for future manufacture without unacceptable changes to cost or reliability.
